All we have by way of kitchen design picture in our work with kitchen in this home are two:

We never got around to taking more than these two photographs.

What we had to work with.
The kitchen design pictures of a ranch home. To say that this kitchen was from someone's kit-bag of kitchen designs would have been absurd. The kitchen was a dump. Dark. Dated. Poorly decorated. Small to the point of confining. Unwelcoming. Downright nasty. (Whatever you do, don't write to tell us that this can't be the before to the after of these two kitchen design pictures. It's so. Mrs. AG was driving this project from start to finish.)
Take a look for yourself, but don't too close.

What we did.
Knocked down walls.
Cut holes in the ceiling, framed and rocked 'em with skylights on top.
Changed out all the trim.
Cut a hole in an exterior wall and installed a pair of casement windows.
Cut a hold in an interior wall to open passage to an abutting room for traffic flow improvement
Had the cabinets professionally resprayed white. Yep, those cabinets in the pic to come are cabinets in the last one you better not have gotten too close to.
Ceramic tiled walls.
Installed new kitchen appliances.
Really scrubbed down the counters.
Repainted walls and ceiling.
Installed a hardwood floor.
Installed recessed lighting.
Did a lot of little things, too. In kitchens, that goes a long way.
The look is classic, classy, and all the other things the before kitchen never had going for it.
